It’s so lovely to have you around here. What have made you visited my page, I wonder? Since you’ve come all this way, I guess we should have a proper introduction. My name is Linh, the writer behind Mademoiselle Camélia. Mademoiselle Camélia means Miss Camellia in French. Why? Because I love French and camellias are my favorite flowers. Flowers are really beautiful right?

I’ve just started blogging since this April. As a designer/illustrator, I have always been looking for a space just to pour all my thoughts, stories, and inspirations into it. I used to have a notebook that I always kept by my side to note down any things I found interesting, however, over the time, I found it quite inconvenient, and my writing was very bad too. That is why I changed to an online platform, which I believe as a more approachable place to share content to the world, as well as get inspired from each other. English is my additional language, so sometimes I feel quite struggled and vulnerable to fully express my ideas and thoughts. However, I’m trying my best to get over it! Please forgive me if I made any grammar mistakes here.

About my favorite book, it’s La Dame Aux Camélias. Sounds like the name of my site right? It was a coincidence that I chose the book because its name reminds me to my favorite flower, and I never regret it. It was the most heart-breaking and passionate love story ever. My favorite quote from this book is “Women sometimes allow you to be unfaithful to their love; they never allow you to wound their self-esteem.”

I am a classic person. I love oldies stuff, classic music, classic movies, vintage designs, architecture… anything that look old basically. My friends often call me “the person from the past”, which I actually like it. I don’t know where I get all these hobbies and inspirations from, probably from my mother. She is a fan of Richard Clayderman tho!

Right now, I’m currently an international student studying Communication Design at RMIT, Melbourne, Australia.
